What is Creating Adam?

It is a creative team, consisting Kim (AD) and Helge (Copywriter).
We are soon-to-be graduates from Westerdals School of Communication (summer 2010), which means that we are looking for someone who wants to hire us.

Why the name “Creating Adam”?

We’re inspired by the thought that someone, or something, designed everything around us.

The Earth, the sea, man and the universe. In our opinion, to create something that vast requires some heavy duty creative thinking. To simply make it all fit together, work and make sure it communicates with each other is astonishing.

This all boils down to our core belief; communication is all around us. It is everything and can do anything, you just have to find the right way to use it. And we simply love to have the opportunity to work with the most awesome thing in the world; how people interact.

Who are you guys?

Helge was born in the oil capital of Norway; Stavanger. After 18 years of playing around, writing stories and bad jokes, and hearing about the wonders of oil, he grew tired from all the oil talk, and went on to become a sergeant in the Norwegian army. He spent two wonderful years there, blowing stuff up and teaching a bunch of guys how to survive in the woods. But he started to miss writing and sought after a more creative outlet. When he got accepted into Westerdals School of Communication as a copywriter, he handed in his uniform, put on his favorite baseball cap and headed to Oslo. Since then, his jokes have gotten somewhat better, but his passion for good stories grows by the minute.

Kim was born in Oslo, and was a bag of energy from birth. He ventilated his energy on different things such as skateboarding, snowboarding, playing the saxophone in a band, taking photographs and so on. After years of photographing his band riding their skateboards down mountains while he played his saxophone, he discovered computers, and his passion for creating something out of nothing. He had finally found a creative outlet that didn’t require him to break his bones. After working as an assistant manager for different food stores for a while, he started looking for a place where he could develop his skills and creativity, and applied to Westerdals School of Communication as an art director. Even though he quit making noise with his saxophone, he still pulls off some sick tunes with his air guitars, to Helge´s disapproving smiles.
